A recent study from the University of Toronto indicates that approximately 25% of adults over 60 who initially reported low well-being were able to achieve optimal wellness within a three-year period. Key factors contributing to this recovery included physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, getting adequate sleep, and having emotional and social support. The study also revealed that individuals who began with a strong sense of psychological well-being were significantly more likely – five times more likely, in fact – to experience this positive turnaround.
