Sabbatical Saturdays #7: Yoga for Stress Relief – Flexibility for the Mind and Body

Yoga combines physical movement with mindfulness to bring relief to both the body and the mind. The practice encourages deep breathing, stretching, and gentle postures that help reduce stress and build flexibility. Yoga is known for its ability to improve mental clarity and alleviate tension in the body, making it an excellent option for reducing anxiety and stress.

Tip: Even if you’re new to yoga, there are plenty of beginner-friendly videos available online. Start with simple stretches or poses like child’s pose, downward dog, or cat-cow. Focus on your breath and allow yourself to move slowly and gently.
