It creeps in quiet, soft yet strong,
A shadow where it don’t belong.
A whisper turning into screams,
A restless tide that drowns my dreams.
My breath is short, my hands are tight,
A weight that presses, steals my light.
The world outside moves fast, so loud,
But I am lost within the crowd.
A thousand thoughts, a tangled thread,
A war inside my weary head.
What if, what now, what’s yet to be?
An echo loops—won’t set me free.
But still, I stand, though knees may shake,
Though fear may pull, though hearts may break.
A breath, a pause, the storm will fade—
The dawn will rise. I am not afraid.
